More graffiti drawings
So Facebook has this app called graffiti. A very simple drawing application where you have three brush controls. Once for color one for width and one for opacity and an undo button.
I 've been playing it and find it a fun quick way to sketch. It also has a fun feature where you can watch it "replay" the drawing process. I have been watching several of the top submissions on the public gallery. I learn quite a bit watching the process.
So the first one I finally completed my own sketch the other day and was thrilled that the next day I found it on Page 17 of the top graffiti's of the week. might not sound like much but considering there are about 160 pages of "top" graffiti. and 600 pages of the submitted stuff I'm thrilled mine is that close to the top of the heap.
this is tonight's quick sketch. I was going to add flowers to the hair and accidently submitted it oh well I might have just messed it up.

Snowed in
It's been a year since I actually published a post. I'm pretty much stuck at home snowed in until monday. We've moved back across country and we got few inches of snow today. Here that is enough to close down pretty much every things. the roads are pretty much all ice at least in the neighborhood. and people around here don't really know how to drive in snow.
So church has been canceled for tomorrow. and the weather won't get above freezing till monday.
I took the boys out in the snow a couple of times today. Ian made snow angels and wanted to make snow men but the snow wasn't the type that packed into snowballs well. It was the icy crunchy snow. Later I took both boys out for a walk down the street. We saw kids being pulled in by Golf cart with water ski ropes. Looked like fun. My drive way is like a min ice rink. Maybe tomorrow I'll pull out my ice skates and try it.
well, here's to blogging again. Maybe I'll get caught up on last years adventures in Monterey and the Move back east. may be or maybe I'll wait another year to write again. For now enjoy a couple of Sketches I did on graffti.

This made me laugh!
My three year old just brought his bowl of oatmeal into the livingroom.
I told him to take that bowl back to the kitchen.
He ignored me.
I thought I really should "reinforce my request" and either repeat the instructions to return to the kitchen or take the bowl back. That is what I'm supposed to do as a mom "nip thing in the bud" before they get bigger.
I didn't. I was doing something on the computer procratinating getting up and moving for the day.
Then the three year old squeals a complaint.
I look.
The baby has his hand in the bowl of oatmeal ready to stuff it in his mouth.
Ha! He should have listened to me.
Turns out the baby did my work for me.
I made a similar mistake last week. Feeling like I was leaving the baby out of breakfast time, I took my cereal in to the living room. Little Guy was on the floor so I figured. I'd give him a few bites of my cold cereal. He loves to eat Big people food when I let him. He is often over eager and grabs for what ever is offered. Then he tries to stuff what ever he cold grab into his mouth. This often results in a big mess if I don't help out.
I gave him the first spoonful of cereal and while I had the spoon at his mouth I ignored his hands.
OOPS. The chubby hands went for the bowl of Marshmallow Maties grabbing some and sloshing most of it on the carpet.
Back to this morning.
I'm looking at my two boys. The oldest is distraught the his brother has his hand in his bowl. The baby contemplating how to get the gooey goodness in his hands to his mouth.
Hmm I better do something or I will have a mess on my hands.
I manage to grab the cute chubby baby fingers and wipe them in one smooth motion. My instructions to take the bowl back to the kitchen were not heeded fast enough. The baby dived back into the bowl.
I rescued the food again. This time my toddler finally got the message and returned to eat his food at the table.
on another note about kids eating stuff.
Turns out Eating dirt good for kids.
Although mine don't usually eat dirt ;) They usually spit it out quite fast. I was surprised how the baby managed to only play in the sand and not eat it when we went to the beach.
I better stop procrastinating and get going for the day.

Too Busy Having Fun!
Pictures from the Aquarium . The Rocky Shore splash zone was a big hit as well as the jellies.
at
Monterey Beach Fisheman's warf
The view form Marina Beach on the way home from Walmart.
Splashing in the waves on Monterey Beach
Light Saber fighting at the Park.
I've been gone from my blogs for a while.
I'm not going to appologize. (at least not for this blog)
Here's why.
I've been too busy having fun and enjoying life where I am living with my family. The weather has been spring like and perfect. The beach calls to run my toes in the sand with the baby. To jump waves with my older son. To climb rock and explore tide pools.
The park beckons us to go out and play . There are trees to be climbed and games of ball to play and Light Sabers to battle with. The neighborhood calls to be walked and explored. to see the bay at sunset and find new friends.
The aquarium waits for us to explore the under water wold that exist just over the dunes from us. The jelly Fish, Sea Dragons, and otters are some of our favorites things to see.
The Weekly Farmers Market Provides a fun Family activity on Tuesday night. We get our favorite local specialties. Fresh Sparky's root beer for My husband, Fresh picked Strawberries (yes even in January) for my son who wants "Stwa berries!" and whatever strikes our fancy and budget for the week. Often Fresh hummus, churros, or other exotic food sold on the street. We find gourmet salad dressings and unique Honeys. Incredible almonds with flavors like Honey Orange and Cajin Spice from local orchards. MY husband found me unique abalone earrings and a warm elegant alpaca pancho. We enjoy the time as a family and the fun things we find.
There is so much to explore and see here. We are only here for a short time. So if my blog is neglected you know why. I'm too busy living and loving life.

Homeless
We left our apartment Saturday. So far we've gone about a thousand miles on our trip to our new home. But we don't have a clue where we will live when we get there. It occurred to me yesterday that for a t least the next week we are homeless vagabonds traipsing about the land.
